The Public Works Department manages two-thirds of the City's operational expenses, and a majority of the City's capital expenses.
Their commitment is constant improvement, and timely, cost-competitive service. The city has said it plainly: dedication, teamwork, and innovative excellence. In recent years the department has been recognized statewide for the work.

Under the town
The systems
- About 2,978 connectionsWaterRetail water service runs past the city limits. Duvall itself is about 2.5 square miles. The state requires a yearly water quality report.
- About 2,900 accountsSewer38 miles of collection pipe and five lift stations. The treatment plant is 1.75 million gallons a day, with a fourth membrane train added.
- About 37 miles of drainageStormwaterMore than 2,800 accounts, plus 170 water quality treatment facilities. The city keeps both public and private systems working, under its state stormwater permit.

Construction noise in town is 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Not Sundays, and not city holidays. That rule is Duvall Municipal Code 6.04.060.
