Who runs this site

Living in Duvall is owned and operated by BuckDT LLC. When these terms say “we,” “us,” or “the site,” that means BuckDT LLC and the people behind it.

What this site is

Living in Duvall is a free community directory and calendar. It lists local businesses, events, volunteer opportunities, and other things happening in and around Duvall. It also includes features like Buddy Bucks (a gamification point system), shoutouts, a leaderboard, Date Night, and business listings. No account is required to browse the site.

Agreement to these terms

By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not create an account or submit content to the site. You are still welcome to browse as a visitor.

Your account

When you sign up, use your real identity. Your display name should be one your neighbors would recognize. Each person may have only one account. Do not create accounts on behalf of other people or impersonate someone else.

Keep your sign-in credentials private. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. If you believe someone else has accessed your account, contact us right away.

User content

“User content” means anything you submit to the site: shoutouts, events, photos, business listing details, and similar contributions.

You keep ownership of everything you post. By submitting content, you grant BuckDT LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and reproduce that content on the site and in any previews generated when someone shares a page (for example, link previews in text messages or social media).

You are responsible for making sure you have the right to post what you submit. Do not upload content that belongs to someone else without their permission.

Photos

Photos you upload are screened automatically before they appear on the site. This screening checks for content that is inappropriate or violates community standards. Photos that do not pass screening will not be published. We reserve the right to remove any photo at any time.

Buddy Bucks

Buddy Bucks are points you earn by participating in the community: posting shoutouts, checking in to businesses, attending events, playing games, and similar activities. They appear on the leaderboard and on your profile.

Buddy Bucks are not currency. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred to another person. BuckDT LLC may adjust, reset, or remove Buddy Bucks at any time, including (but not limited to) correcting errors, addressing abuse, or changing the point system. The rules for earning Buddy Bucks may change without notice.

Claimed listings

If you own or operate a business listed on the site, you may claim that listing. Claiming a listing means you are telling us that you have the authority to manage that business’s information. We verify claims before approving them, and we may ask for additional proof.

Once your claim is approved, changes you make go live immediately. It is your responsibility to keep your listing accurate and up to date. Do not claim a business that is not yours.

BuckDT LLC may revoke a claimed listing at any time if the claim appears fraudulent, the listing contains inaccurate information, or the listing owner violates these terms.

Moderation

We reserve the right to remove any content and to suspend or delete any account, at any time and without prior notice, for any reason. This includes (but is not limited to) content or behavior that is abusive, harassing, threatening, discriminatory, dishonest, spammy, or otherwise harmful to the community.

There is no tolerance for targeted harassment of individuals, hate speech, spam, scams, or intentionally misleading content. If you see something that needs attention, email us.

Accuracy disclaimer

Business hours change, locations move, events get rescheduled or cancelled. We do our best to keep information current, and business owners can update their own listings, but we cannot guarantee that every detail on the site is accurate at every moment. Please verify important details (hours, availability, pricing) directly with the business before making a trip.

Limitation of liability

Living in Duvall is a community platform provided “as is” and “as available.” BuckDT LLC makes no warranties, express or implied, about the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the site or its content.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BuckDT LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site, including (but not limited to) reliance on information found here, interactions with businesses or other users, or any loss of data or Buddy Bucks.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. If a change is significant, we will make a reasonable effort to notify registered users (for example, through the site or by email).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under these terms will be resolved in the courts of the State of Washington.
