Free concert Saturday, September 19, 5 to 7 p.m. at the Snoqualmie Valley Art Center. 🎸 Lucia Flores-Wiseman takes the new SVAC stage. Food truck, beer garden, and a free shuttle from Safeway. Duvall Foundation for the Arts is the reason this night exists. They got Raise the Stage off the ground with Cascade Community Theatre to launch the new SVAC stage. Come support them. 📸 Award-winning photographer Travis Wetherbee of [Last Lite Photography](/listing/last-lite-photography) will be on site shooting the night. If you know Lucia, you know Travis is the one who should be behind the lens. Bring a chair. Bring a friend. Raise the stage. Raise the arts. Neighbors, mark your calendars. The Rotary Club of Duvall is hosting the second annual Picnic for Peace on Sunday, September 20, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Depot Park, a free, family-friendly celebration held each year in honor of the International Day of Peace. The afternoon brings the whole community together for live music from Emily McIntosh and Howard Mack, Terri the balloon artist, face painting, yard games, a pie-eating contest, a bake sale, peace-themed crafts and a community art installation built from messages of peace contributed by local schoolkids. Community partners Empower Youth Network and Northwest Art Center will be on hand as well. It's a bring-your-own-picnic kind of afternoon, so pack a blanket and a basket, or grab takeout from one of our wonderful restaurants in town on your way to the park. Why come? Because Picnic for Peace is a reminder that peace starts close to home, in how we treat our neighbors and show up for our community, and this is Duvall's chance to celebrate that together. Bring a blanket, bring the kids, and bring an appetite. It's free, it's for everyone, and it's a great way to spend a September afternoon in the park.

A Tradition Worth Picking! The Fall City Apple Festival is back for another year of good food, good fun, and great neighbors. Browse 40 local vendors, grab a slice of fresh apple pie or a cup of organic pressed cider, and cheer on contestants in the Apple Pie Contest (youth and adult divisions, with cash prizes). Kids can saddle up for horseback rides, bounce around in the bouncy castles, bob for apples, and get creative with art projects. Hungry? Food trucks will be lined up and the Cider Garden will be pouring. Admission is free, so bring the whole family and soak in one of the Valley's favorite fall traditions.
