Spent many years as a member until we moved to Carnation. It was a great facility and always clean with good class options. Just the spot to break a sweat in our small town!
Dinner on the go? They have you covered! We like to call ahead so we can grab and go when we are headed home. They offer good pizza and salads, they also have make your own take and bake mini pizza's for the little kiddos! :). Always a nice treat and easy on the parents!
We live in Carnation... and we camp here! We like to snag an RV spot (which offers full hookups) and stay for a weekend. You can hike the park and chill by the river. They also offer tent camping spots and Yurts/Converted shipping containers to rent as well. There is a plat ground for the kids and the trail to town is super easy to navigate. A great local place to escape!
It gets easy to forget this gem is in our backyard but what a great spot to stop and enjoy the view while learning about some of the early power generation in the valley. But there is more! Great spot for fine dining in their main dining room, excellent hotel and much more! We like to hit the attic for a nice informal meal, or the main bar which also offers appetizers and locally influenced meals and drinks. You can also make the hike to the lower part of the falls, or drive down and walk in next to the power plants. Any way you look at it this is great spot to stop and take in the view!
Travis crushes it with pictures int he Valley! He captures the feeling of the valley and shows off the surroundings in an amazing way. You can also find him behind the camera the majority of our local events and he showcases the people in such a great way! Highly recommend him and his work! I am sure there are several places to purchase, including from him but I know for a fact he has art work for sale at CC's on mainstream Duvall!
This school district is one of the main reasons we chose to move to the valley. They have been awesome and they are student focused. That doesn't mean everything is perfect but you can tell they try. Recently we have started school for our special needs kiddo and it's been everything we could hope for. They also take a feedback from the students... which means a lot to me as a parent.
Need dinner quick on your way home? They hav e a lot of options that won't break the bank but get food on the table. As a father of 4 we need quick options some nights as we balance sports and other activities. They also make big sandwiches that will fill you up for lunch at a treasonable price!
I love Amarillo! I order from them whenever I work in Duvall! They offer great BBQ by the pound but also have great meals like their sandwiches and such. I love the Hatch Mac and so much more from the menu! The smoked Turkey is a gem!
This park is a great space, it offers excellent picnic options as well as a great swim area for those hot summer days. If you want to skip the lake they have a great pool and high ropes course as well!
This is a private lake... beach access is for residents. If you are looking at buying in Lake Marcel or you already live there you have access to beaches 1 and 2. Beach one offers a park setting with access to real bathrooms a nice swim area with a sandy beach and play areas for the littles. Beach 2 is smaller with easy boat access, play structures and a honey bucket. Both beaches are a treasure for residents and the lake is great to swim in and offers nice fishing for all ages. They have events for the community annually as well. We lived there over a decade a the HOA dues were reasonable for what you got. :)
Great place to get out and stretch your legs! Trails stretch from the fields into the woods. You'll need a parking pass to use the lots and be warned in the late fall and winter this is an active bird hunting area...
Spent many years coaching on these fields. Great facilities with clean bathrooms and nice fields that accommodate multiple sports. They also have a variety of drop in events if you just need a night to play. Parking can be tough but it's gotten easier over the years and coming a few minutes before your practice works well!
Our youngest son is special needs so we opted to have him at Carnation Elementary which is our home school. We have another kid at Stillwater because we lived there for several years and didn't want to switch her. We have been so impressed with the teachers and staff at Carnation Elementary, they have been so inclusive and welcoming that we know we made the right choice. We joined the PTSA in order to help out! :)
This is a great little spot in our town! Our daughter loves to dance and they have a variety of classes for all ages. The teachers are kind and caring... they really love to share the gift of dance with the kids!
We've had 2 kids at Tolt so far and we have really liked what they are doing. Kids are learning in a good environment and they are getting exposure to a lot of different after school activities. Our daughter did volleyball and track, now our son is also in track and soccer.
This is more than a spot to stop and grab a cup of coffee! Kelsey's is part of the community... you can get your caffeine fix from one o the amazing drinks (with lots of specials!) grab a snack, or sit and work in the cozy environment!
Another great shop on Main Street that has so many cool things! They have a nice selection of Duvall items for that local gift but also other items... no need to leave town to buy a gift for someone, or yourself.
The FFA program at Cedarcrest High School has been an incredible experience for our family. The program is led by an amazing teaching team, the Thomases, who genuinely care about their students and dedicate an incredible amount of time, energy, and effort to helping them grow and succeed. As a parent, I have had the privilege of watching my daughter grow tremendously through her involvement in FFA. I have also truly enjoyed volunteering and becoming part of the supportive community surrounding the program. What makes FFA so valuable is that it goes far beyond agriculture. Students develop important life and leadership skills, including public speaking, advocacy, teamwork, responsibility, goal setting, and planning for their futures. The confidence, experiences, and opportunities this program provides students are invaluable. We are incredibly grateful for the dedication of the Thomases and for the positive impact the Cedarcrest FFA program continues to have on our students, families, and community.
We have had a kid at Stillwater Elementary for the past 10 years... with 3 kids going through the school we have also had the pleasure of working with a lot of the teachers and we have been really impressed with the professionalism and how much they care! Great school!
Need an amazing breakfast? This is really a great place to eat! Don and Heidi have become a staple in our little community!
