Miller's calls itself "a gathering place," and in historic downtown Carnation, that is exactly what it has become. Nancy Colton and Bill Pritchard opened it after twenty years living in town, wanting a venue right on Main Street, with help from Jules Hughes, Lee Grumman, and the community around them. Nancy is an award-winning singer-songwriter who has played The Gorge, the Tractor Tavern, the 5th Avenue Theatre, and Bumbershoot, and works as a baker and herbalist besides. Bill previously owned Madison's Cafe & Music House in Seattle, has produced well over 1,000 events including Bumbershoot, and founded Mosaic Catering back in 2002. The calendar reflects that background: live music most weekends, an outdoor summer stage series, country line dancing, open mic nights with no cover, community dinners, and art and educational classes. It is not just background music either, touring acts book Miller's on purpose, and the room takes its sound seriously. The 1,500 square foot space also rents out for private events, up to 99 guests, with bistro seating, three conversation areas, a full sound system with a sound engineer, and free WiFi. Rehearsal dinners, birthday parties, baby showers, grad parties, memorials, weddings, movie nights, and live theater have all used the room. Rates run $495 for four hours on weekdays and $645 on weekends and holidays, plus $100 per additional hour and a $120 cleaning fee, and Bill's own Mosaic Catering handles the food with a complimentary proposal on request. The recognition has followed: 2024 Best Rural Small Business in King County, 2025 Best Meeting & Event Space from 425 Business, and 2025 Best Live Music/Entertainment from the Snoqualmie Valley Record. Miller's was also one of the six stops on the 2026 Carnation Concert Crawl, hosting Blessing Bled Chimanga's set in the afternoon lineup.

501(c)(3) Non-profit dedicated to developing & operating a public aquatic and recreation center in Lower Snoqualmie Valley, promoting physical and mental health, youth development, and community connections. Currently in our fundraising phase, and always looking for volunteers and collaborative opportunities! We just had our first fundraiser, Par 4 the Pool, raising over $7,000 for our effort! Having formed in December of 2025, being less than a year old, we have made immense progress toward our goal.

Cedarcrest Lacrosse is the 501(c)(3) dedicated to organizing, developing, and promoting lacrosse in Duvall and Carnation. One program, two towns, first stick through varsity. 🥍 The board runs the program on the values it teaches: effort, discipline, sportsmanship, communication, and fun, inside an environment built to be both competitive and safe. President Tadj Kilmer leads a volunteer board of eight who handle registration, field time, coaching, and everything else that has to happen before a team can take the field. The season is not the whole year here. The Snoqualmie Valley's very own community radio station. 📻 Valley 104.9 FM (KAPY) is a volunteer-run, 100-watt Low Power FM station operated by Valley Community Broadcasting, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Duvall. No paid staff. No corporate ownership. Just local people putting local voices on the air. Tune in at 104.9 FM or stream live from anywhere at valley1049.org. The programming covers everything from music and talk to news, local culture, science, and kids' shows. Fan favorites include Tales From Tolt, The Flower Power Hour, The Saturday Night Oldies Show, and The Children's Hour. Valley 104.9 shows up where it counts. They broadcast all Cedarcrest High School home football games (catch the schedule at livinginduvall.com/football 🏈) and go live at the annual Duvall Easter Egg Hunt each spring. The Carnation Chamber of Commerce is the business and community organization for Carnation and the lower Snoqualmie Valley. It is run by a volunteer board of local business owners and community leaders, and its stated purpose is to promote community engagement in support of the local business environment through events. The Chamber puts on the town's biggest gatherings: the Snoqualmie Valley Sunflower Festival every August and September, the Carnation Candy Crawl at Halloween, the Carnation Turkey Trot the Saturday before Thanksgiving, and Christmas in Carnation with Santa and the community tree lighting in December. Between those, it runs a monthly meeting with guest speakers where business owners, nonprofit leaders, and community partners connect, plus a member directory, a newsletter, and sponsorship and vendor opportunities for local businesses. Membership is open to businesses, nonprofits, and community supporters. King County Councilmember Sarah Perry represents District 3, which includes Duvall, Carnation, Fall City, North Bend, Snoqualmie, Snoqualmie Pass, Issaquah, Sammamish, Redmond, Woodinville, Bothell, Preston, and Skykomish. A champion of behavioral health with 30+ years in nonprofit and small business work, Sarah is known for building civic collaboration and community engagement. Her priorities include environmental protection, transit alternatives, small business support, equity and access, and behavioral health resources. She co-founded the Si View Indoor Playground in North Bend and started the Fall City Neighbors newsletter. Sarah is a member of the SnoValley and Greater Issaquah Chambers of Commerce.
