One of Duvall's most treasured historic sites and home to some of the oldest standing structures in the Snoqualmie River Valley. The restored wooden farmhouse was built in 1888, and the outbuildings around it are still there. Landmarked by the King County Landmarks Preservation Board in 1983 and the State of Washington in 2004, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Duvall Historical Society opens the Dougherty House for tours Sundays 1pm to 4pm, May through September. The grounds also host the Easter Egg Hunt each spring and share a parking lot with the Duvall Dog Park.

The all volunteer 501(c)(3) behind Cedarcrest Red Wolves football. Their job is simple to say and hard to do: raise the money, organize the volunteers, and build the community awareness that keeps this program strong. 🏈 What the Booster Club pays for goes straight to the players. Updated equipment, including state of the art helmets and pads. Football camp scholarships, so cost never keeps a kid off the roster. Game film technology, communications, team meals, and snacks on the bus home from away games. Spiritwear and the team store. Thursday night team dinners, senior night, and the final banquet. They also handle the part that families remember years later: senior posters, yard signs, and banners around Duvall with your kid's face on them. 📣 Player shoutout ads run in the football program every season. The FFA chapter at Cedarcrest High School, where students learn agriculture, horticulture, and how to run a meeting and speak for themselves. 🌿 Cedarcrest's Nursery Landscape team is the one that keeps putting Duvall on the national map. They have won the Washington state championship and gone on to represent the state at the National FFA Career Development Event in Indianapolis, finishing 10th in the country in both 2017 and 2019. Getting there is not a weekend of work: the team memorizes a 500 question test bank covering applied geometry, trigonometry, conversions, and plant identification, and puts in hundreds of hours before they ever board a plane. The chapter is led by agriculture teacher Seth Thomas. Beyond competition, FFA members turn up around town for things like Duvall's Arbor Day tree planting, and the program sends graduates into the trades with skills employers are actually looking for. 🏆 A national trip runs a few thousand dollars per student, and the chapter fundraises for it every time they qualify. Cedarcrest Lacrosse is the 501(c)(3) dedicated to organizing, developing, and promoting lacrosse in Duvall and Carnation. One program, two towns, first stick through varsity. 🥍 The board runs the program on the values it teaches: effort, discipline, sportsmanship, communication, and fun, inside an environment built to be both competitive and safe. President Tadj Kilmer leads a volunteer board of eight who handle registration, field time, coaching, and everything else that has to happen before a team can take the field. The season is not the whole year here.
