One of Duvall's most treasured historic sites and home to some of the oldest standing structures in the Snoqualmie River Valley. The restored wooden farmhouse was built in 1888, and the outbuildings around it are still there. Landmarked by the King County Landmarks Preservation Board in 1983 and the State of Washington in 2004, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Duvall Historical Society opens the Dougherty House for tours Sundays 1pm to 4pm, May through September. The grounds also host the Easter Egg Hunt each spring and share a parking lot with the Duvall Dog Park.

One room, two ideas, and it works: a Chinese kitchen on one side and the closest thing Duvall has to a sports bar on the other. 🎱 Happy hour runs 3pm to 7pm every day. There is live music Friday and Saturday nights, open mic on Sundays, and free pool Sunday and Tuesday, all with no cover. The bar side is 21 and over, and it is a small room, so it fills up when a band is on. Open noon to 9pm most days, opening at 3pm on Mondays.

Duvall's sports complex, on the southeast corner of town. Three fields carry most of the valley's youth soccer, lacrosse, football, baseball, and softball. Field 1 and Field 2 are turf with lights, Field 3 is natural grass with 90 foot bases. Also on site: the skate park, a playground, a graffiti wall, paved parking, restrooms, and a concession stand available to rent. Fields can be reserved through the city, and when nobody has them booked they are first come, first served.

The historic railroad depot building sits at the center of this one, a reminder of the line that put Duvall on the map. Around it: open lawn, a wildlife viewing platform, and a community firepit. ADA accessible with parking and restrooms. The Depot building itself is available to rent through the city for events and private functions.

Duvall's riverfront park, on the east bank of the Snoqualmie and right off the Snoqualmie Valley Trail. Grassy fields, a sandy beach, a footbridge, and walking trails with ADA access run through shoreline and wetland along Coe-Clemons Creek. Picnic tables, benches, a covered picnic area, a grill, and a portable restroom. The closest thing Duvall has to a town beach, and the park most people mean when they say they are heading down to the river.

The boat launch. Just north of the Woodinville-Duvall Road bridge, Taylor's Landing puts a concrete ramp on the Snoqualmie River and connects straight to the Snoqualmie Valley Trail. Kayakers, drift boats, and emergency services all use it. On land there is a playground, a grassy picnic area with tables and a barbecue stand, a portable restroom, and a gravel lot with 20 to 25 stalls.

Two Moons South pairs play structures and a natural grass play field with a basketball and four square court, picnic areas under seasonal cover, and benches scattered through. Pathways weave the whole park together, there are bike racks at the entrance, and port-a-potties on site. The grass field can be rented for games and practices, and is open to everyone when it is not booked.

The all volunteer 501(c)(3) behind Cedarcrest Red Wolves football. Their job is simple to say and hard to do: raise the money, organize the volunteers, and build the community awareness that keeps this program strong. 🏈 What the Booster Club pays for goes straight to the players. Updated equipment, including state of the art helmets and pads. Football camp scholarships, so cost never keeps a kid off the roster. Game film technology, communications, team meals, and snacks on the bus home from away games. Spiritwear and the team store. Thursday night team dinners, senior night, and the final banquet. The FFA chapter at Cedarcrest High School, where students learn agriculture, horticulture, and how to run a meeting and speak for themselves. 🌿 Cedarcrest's Nursery Landscape team is the one that keeps putting Duvall on the national map. They have won the Washington state championship and gone on to represent the state at the National FFA Career Development Event in Indianapolis, finishing 10th in the country in both 2017 and 2019. Getting there is not a weekend of work: the team memorizes a 500 question test bank covering applied geometry, trigonometry, conversions, and plant identification, and puts in hundreds of hours before they ever board a plane. The chapter is led by agriculture teacher Seth Thomas. Beyond competition, FFA members turn up around town for things like Duvall's Arbor Day tree planting, and the program sends graduates into the trades with skills employers are actually looking for. 🏆 A national trip runs a few thousand dollars per student, and the chapter fundraises for it every time they qualify. Cedarcrest Lacrosse is the 501(c)(3) dedicated to organizing, developing, and promoting lacrosse in Duvall and Carnation. One program, two towns, first stick through varsity. 🥍 The board runs the program on the values it teaches: effort, discipline, sportsmanship, communication, and fun, inside an environment built to be both competitive and safe. President Tadj Kilmer leads a volunteer board of eight who handle registration, field time, coaching, and everything else that has to happen before a team can take the field. The season is not the whole year here.
