- About
- Snoqualmie Falls is one of Washington state's most visited natural attractions, drawing more than 1.5 million visitors every year. The 270-foot waterfall on the Snoqualmie River is a sacred site of the Snoqualmie Tribe and one of the most photographed landmarks in the Pacific Northwest. The upper park offers two observation decks, a gift shop, picnic tables, and wheelchair-accessible paths from the parking area. A trail leads down to the lower viewing area at the base of the falls for those who want a closer look and a short hike. Leashed pets are allowed but discouraged during busy times. Free parking is available across the street, and paid parking ($7/hour) is right next to the upper overlook. The falls are open from sunrise to sunset, 365 days a year, and lights illuminate the cascade in the evening. Snoqualmie Falls is also famous as a filming location for Twin Peaks, appearing in the show's opening credits. The Salish Lodge and Spa sits at the top of the falls for those looking to make a full day or weekend of it. Located just off Highway 202 in Snoqualmie, about 30 minutes east of Seattle and a short drive from anywhere in the valley.
