- IGNITE Dance & Yoga has been part of the Snoqualmie Valley since 2010, and in 2023 owner Katie Black opened this second home in Carnation with co-director Brittany Mains. Grow, Express, Thrive is the studio's motto, and it shows: this is a genuinely community-built place, the kind where two year olds take their first Creative Movement class and stay through their competition years. Katie's own daughters grew up in this studio, and you will still catch them around town handing out flyers because they believe in what their mom built, the same neighborly spirit behind every class taught here. Classes run for every age and every level, from ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, acro, and musical theatre for kids, to vinyasa, yin, gentle yoga, and barre fusion for adults. Registration for the 2026-2027 recreational season is open now, with classes starting September 8, 2026: Monday: 4:15-5:15pm Stretch & Strength/Conditioning (ages 9+) Tuesday: 4:15-5:00pm Hip Hop (9-13), 4:30-5:30pm Lyrical/Contemporary/Jazz (9+), 5:00-5:45pm Hip Hop (5-8), 5:30-6:15pm Lyrical/Contemporary/Jazz (6-9), 6:30-7:15pm Ballet/Jazz/Tap Combo (6-9, starting October 6) Wednesday: 4:00-4:45pm Tap (9-12), 4:15-5:00pm Tumbling/Conditioning (6-9), 5:00-6:00pm Ballet (6-9), 5:30-6:15pm Musical Theater (7-12), 6:00-6:45pm Ballet/Jazz (3-5), 6:45-8:00pm Ballet (10+) Friday: 11:00-11:45am Ballet/Jazz/Tap (3-5), 11:45am-12:15pm Creative Movement with Caretaker (18 months-2.5 years) Saturday: 12:45-1:30pm Ballet/Jazz/Tap Combo (4-7) Questions?
