Acres of Diamonds

Acres of Diamonds provides longer-term transitional housing for mothers and children experiencing homelessness. From the beginning, Acres of Diamonds has set out to ensure that every woman and child that comes to Acres receives the opportunity to change their story. This is why Acres of Diamonds is more than just housing, but an actual program to help women become self-sufficient. Using Trauma Informed Care, Acres of Diamonds addresses the underlying issues of homelessness – addiction, abuse and poverty – by helping to provide solutions that are both holistic and long-term to support a woman as she makes lasting change in her life and for her family. Acres goes beyond providing just housing: It is a safe space for both women and children to heal in the midst of trauma.
